Hi Folks, this year we are splitting our tournament across 2 days. On October 23rd we will have the doubles event at Melbourne Park, then on November 20th we will have the singles event in Pakenham. For kids & beginners of all ages, there will be some coaching on a nearby court at noon and 1pm - friends & family deaf & hearing all welcome! See here for a flyer, enter online here. This event is offered by part of the Deaf Children Australia spring holiday program. A couple of players from the Victorian Deaf Tennis Association will be there to help out on the day. With instruction from Peter Thrupp, the Head Coach at The Overport Park Tennis Club, participants will have an opportunity to improve their technique through drills, match play, one on one tuition and free hitting sessions. On May 16th we had glorious weather for our Vic Champs event at Melbourne Park. We had plenty of entries for the men's and women's round robin events, and a very full afternoon of tennis was had by all. All beginner tennis players are invited to join us with Tennis Victoria at a Mini Circuit event, at Melbourne Park, on Sunday June 6th. This fun tournament is a perfect introduction to competition tennis, and it is also a special experience to play at the same venue as the Australian Open!

On Sunday May 16th, we have our first tournament in Vic in a while! This one-day event, at a fantastic venue in Melbourne Park (same place as the Aust Open) is a great opportunity to come and play, especially if you haven't been involved before. Hi Folks, Monday night hitting is starting up again on Jan 11th, same time, same place as before. Details here. The 5-6 sessions we have over Nov and Dec went well, with 5-13 people attending each Monday, with some of us going to a nearby restaurant for food after - all are welcome to join us for this!
